SA and ATM parties say Mpumalanga Premier Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane must be arrested

Talane – Democratic Alliance and African Transformation Movement say the Premier of Mpumalanga Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane must be arrested like citizens who were arrested for non-compliance with lockdown regulations.

According to News24, Mtsweni-Tsipane has apologised as she found herself guilty for not wearing a mask at the late Minister in Presidency Jackson Mthembu’s funeral as she paid a fine thereof.

To SA and ATM cushioned by South Africans, the fine’s not enough, Mtsweni-Tsipane must be arrested they say.

DA emphasised the issue of treating cadres differently, saying all SA citizens must be treated equally irrespective of their popularity, the party find Bheki Cele’s call to investigate MP’s Premier for not wearing a mask ludicrous and started a hashtag #ArrestRefilweMtsweni.

ATM made a call for the arrest of Mtsweni-Tsipane for transgressing and violating the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, the party blames Police Minister Bheki Cele for failing to act in accordance with the law. ATM labels Mtsweni-Tsipane as a failure and arrogant leader.
