ANC Women’s League to meet with Jacob Zuma in Nkandla

Ebony Park – ANC Women’s League made it clear on Wednesday, that they are set to meet with former President Jacob Zuma in his homestead in Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal.

The recent decision of such visit was taken at a recent ANCWL National Executive Committee, the secretary-general thereof Meokgo Matuba told TimesLIVE on Wednesday.

First it was the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) President Julius Malema who went to Nkandla for tea, and followed the Police Minister Bheki Cele, later the ANC National Executive Committee (NEC).

Despite President Cyril Ramaphosa’s calling upon the ANC members and South Africans to respect the inquiry and show some support, ANCWL leadership is eager to visit Nkandla to see Msholozi whilst defying the law.

“The ANCWL is an autonomous organisation, it decides on its own programmes and activities. So, anything they do – for as long it’s within their own autonomy – the ANC doesn’t have any much to say to that,” ANC national spokesperson Pule Mabe told The Citizen on Thursday.

There’s a clear indication of division in the ANC, as Pule added that “the ANCWL has got its own leadership and constitution, it arranges its own activities.”
