The University of the Witwatersrand invites unemployed graduates to apply for a 6-month Presidential Youth Employment Stimulus (PYES) Graduate / Internship Programme 2023.

The University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (Wits) has identified the areas, at both faculty and central levels, in which graduates could gain work readiness skills within the University environment. This is a six (6) months fixed -period programme commencing 1 July 2023 and ending 31 December 2023.
The programme is sponsored by the Presidency on the condition that selected graduates should complete a time-sheet for the duration of the programme accompanied by monthly reports, signed off by the responsible line manager.
Criteria:
- Applicants must be Wits graduates in the age category 18 – 35 years, who are unemployed South Africans.
- Preference will be given to those applicants who are living with disabilities and meet the requirements for representation as defined in the University’s Employment Equity Plan.
Remuneration:
Successful graduates will receive an all-inclusive stipend of R 5 000 per month for a maximum period of 6 months, subject statutory deductions.
