Weir Minerals is contributing towards skills development in South Africa, by providing opportunities to graduates to enter a two-year graduate program in the field of Finance.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

Finance Degree
Key Tasks:
- Ensure accurate processing and preparation of all financial data up to Trial Balance level.
- Ensure accurate processing of month end Journals up to Trial Balance.
- Prepare general ledger reconciliations and reconcile with supporting documentation on Blackline.
- Assist Financial Accountant in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
- Required to do reporting: Royalty calculations, Fixed Asset Reporting.
- Compiling daily input report
- Order book confirmation.
- Identify low and negative margin sales
- Ensure compliance to monthly finance checklist
- Monthly expense review of expenses.
- Ensure Capex applications complete as per checklist for sign off submission.
- Perform adhoc reporting queries
- Assist in the performance of compliance scorecard self -assessment testing
- Any other additional duties, as required
- Adhere to all HSE and housekeeping requirements
- Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times
Minimum Skills/Abilities:
- Computer Literate – MS Office Suite
- Good oral and written business communication at all levels
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to plan and prioritise work activities
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
