Valmet Flow Control is offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee – Supply Chain position at our office in Durban. Valmet Flow Control is a leading global provider of flow control solutions, committed to delivering excellence in customer service and operational efficiency. As a Trainee – Supply Chain, you will play a vital role in investigating logistic routines, resolving internal supply chain issues, optimizing inventory, mapping internal processes, and contributing to our international logistics criteria.
Responsibilities:
- You will dive into our current logistic processes, analyze their effectiveness, and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- You will identify internal challenges within the supply chain, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop innovative solutions to enhance overall performance.
- Working closely with our inventory management team, you will contribute to optimizing stock levels, ensuring the availability of critical components, and minimizing excess inventory.
- You will map and document internal processes within our Durban and Johannesburg units, promoting transparency and facilitating knowledge sharing among teams.
- You will gain exposure to international logistics practices, understand inbound criteria, and collaborate with our global partners to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- You will assist in the development of a costing model, analyzing various factors impacting supply chain costs and supporting decision-making processes.

- Proactive and result-oriented mindset.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
