Job Purpose:
The Meat Processing & Supply Chain graduate programme aims at attracting Logistics / Argriculture/ Supply Chain or relevantly qualified graduates to join the leading fast-moving consumer goods retailer in Africa in our butcheries, meat processing Plant and related activities.
Job Objectives:
To gain exposure and experience in various areas in the Meat Markets, Meat Processing Plant and across the applicable various business units
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Visit stores to gather data and information on specific topics (i.e. waste, energy usage)
- Conduct waste audits at different sites
- Investigate solutions to divert organic waste from landfill
- Conduct interviews with employees at various sites to understand existing processes and procedures
- Compile data and information gathered in report format
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Commerce in;-
- Logistics
- Quantitative Management
- Agriculture
- Industrial Engineering
- Operational Research
- Or related degree/qualification
Knowledge and Skills:
- Computer literacy
- Microsoft Suite
- SAP system.
