SBV currently seeks a Junior Internal Auditor to assist in the completion of internal audits following specified audit programmes and procedures and compile internal audit findings of results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares audit working papers
- Prepare working papers and perform testing according to the audit program under the guidance of the Internal Auditor.
- Ensures that audit findings are systematically and accurately documented.
- Executes audits in accordance with auditing standards.
- Ensures that proper measures are in place and that documents and records are being kept.
- Identifies threats, non-compliance with statutory and company policies and evaluates controls and reports thereon.
- Build relationships at appropriate levels to obtain the necessary information pertinent to the audit.
- Confirms compliance with internal and external regulations as well as Legislation.
- Writes internal audit findings and contributes to the discussion of these findings during exit meetings held with various branch managers and departmental heads covering the areas tested, deficiencies found and recommendations.
Undertakes special projects
- Undertakes fieldwork in respect of special projects outside of normal audit plan with the guidance of the internal auditor and or the internal audit manager and documents the results therefor.
Self-Development
- Ensures own efficiency through self-development program, literature and studies within the internal audit profession.
Job Requirements
Formal Qualifications:
- BCom or accepted Audit qualification or Matric and studying towards a tertiary qualification.
Prior Experience:
- No prior experience required if candidate has completed a tertiary qualification.
- If no tertiary qualification, then at least two years company related experience.
