We are looking for a dynamic candidate to fill the Intern vacancy available at Permoseal (Pty) Ltd in Montague Gardens, Western Cape.
This vacancy is for undergraduate students only – those who are studying toward the National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (at a University of Technology) and who need work-placement in order to graduate are eligible to apply.
Your application should include;
- A cover letter motivating your application,
- Comprehensive CV,
- School leaving certificate,
- Most recent full academic results, and
- University of Technology eligibility letter (do not apply if you do not have this letter).
The first 4 weeks learners will be working in various departments to familiarise overall production process and general operations, there after learners will be redeployed to work in the Maintenance Department;-
- To familiarise in company related engineering principles,
- To provide opportunity for the learners to apply engineering principle in practice,
- To provide supervision, mentoring and workplace training to the student,
- To evaluate the learners work and provide feedback that will sustain the learning process.
- To participate in daily Quality assurance activities,
- To participate in preventative maintenance activities on all tools, machinery, hydraulics and other equipment used in and around the manufacturing plant,
- To participate in routine maintenance activities,
- Design and manufacture items to address maintenance issues.
