Omnia is looking for dynamic young, self-motivated candidates to proceed in Learnership for Chemical Operations. The candidates will be selected to serve the learnership program as described by Government, CHIETA and NAMB.
Assistance as needed by the relevant department will result in learning other sectors of the company as well. Compliance to company’s health and safety procedures should be adhered to.
Duties:
- By working with an experienced coach, the applicants will obtain workplace experience in skills and knowledge relating to Chemical Operation.
- Operational personal will ensure on the job learning supported by structured as well as institutional learning.
- Attendance of all theoretical classes at an accredited provider (Omnia Technical Training Centre).
- Obtain Chemical plant related practical exposure on Omnia Fertilizer Sasolburg site.
- Successful theoretical and practical assessment activities that are required for the final assessment per plant should be supported by an updated POE (Portfolio of Evidence).
- Exposure to all aspects of Chemical Operations will result in obtaining an Occupational Certificate in Chemical Operations qualification.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 – Mathematics, Science and English
- Medically fit, age 18 – 26 years old

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to adhere to academic guidelines
- Willing to conform to rigid standards of performance
- High energy levels and self-motivated
- Be able to produce work of high quality
- High concentration levels and attention to detail
- Work accurately and carefully
- Be willing to keep up-to-date with advances in techniques and equipment
- Good interpersonal skills
- Adherence to Safety requirements
NB: Preference will be given to Metsimaholo Local Municipality residents
