Are you a recent graduate with a passion for supply chain management? Are you ready to embark on a transformative journey and make a significant impact in the field? If so, our Supply Chain Graduate Program provides the perfect platform for you to excel and develop your skills in the dynamic world of supply chain operations.
In this comprehensive 18-month program, we aim to equip you with the necessary skills, knowledge, and practical experience to become a competent and responsible professional in the supply chain field. From head office to site level, you will gain exposure to various aspects of the end-to-end supply chain process. By joining our program, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our mission of providing the correct goods at the correct price when they are needed, while ensuring sustainability and benefiting the communities in which we operate.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Supply Chain Graduate, you will be responsible for;-
- Learning about supply chain governance, compliance, and reporting, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Participating in strategic sourcing processes, including market analysis, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
- Understanding inventory management techniques, including optimization, forecasting, and safety stock management.
- Familiarizing yourself with supply chain systems and standards, such as ERP and MRP.
- Learning about supply chain performance management, including key metrics, KPIs, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Gaining practical experience in operational procurement processes, requisitioning, purchase order processing, and expediting.
- Understanding site-level inventory management techniques, including stock integrity, optimization, and consignment stock management.
- Learning logistics management techniques, including transportation, customs clearance, and delivery scheduling.
- Gaining knowledge of demand planning techniques, including forecasting and inventory planning.
- Completing a final project focused on analyzing and improving supply chain processes at one of our mine sites.
Qualification Requirements:
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree in;-
- Supply Chain Management
- Or a related field
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience is advantageous.
- Strong interest in supply chain management and a drive to contribute to operational performance and risk management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Projects).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and material requirements planning (MRP) is advantageous.
- South African citizenship is required
