We are looking for a Junior Finance Assistant to join our Finance team.
The ideal candidate should be organised with good attention to detail, be competent working in Microsoft Excel, and have the willingness to gain an understanding of basic financial principles. The successful candidate should be able to handle routine administrative tasks and the preparation of information for regular financial reporting and payroll.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties will include, but may not be limited to;-
- Collecting and processing data for various financial spreadsheets
- Collecting information for and assisting with timesheet and payroll administration
- Assisting the Accountant to produce revenue reporting on a regular basis
- Assisting in processing, archiving and managing information records
- Collecting and processing information to assist with ad hoc queries
- Performing routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the Accountant
Qualification and Competencies:
- Matric required – Accounting
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Computer literate: Microsoft Office
- Basic mathematical skills and understanding preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting principles preferred or willingness to learn
- Good organisational skills
- Good attention to detail
- Good communication skills
