Sappi is offering a two-year Industrial Engineer-in-Training opportunity for a recent B Eng or BSc Industrial and Chemical Engineering graduates.
All Sappi trainees are supported by competent and committed mentors who guide development and opportunities in the company for our young talent.
The following Engineering Graduate Traineeship Opportunities are open for applications:
Engineer in Training – Industrial
The comprehensive on-the-job training programme will enable a graduate to become proficient in data mining, business process mapping, process improvement and advanced analytics.
Main Responsibilities:
- Business process data mining and value stream mapping using diagnostic tools.
- Support unified process design for global processes in the customer service, sales, finance and supply chain environments.
- Detect non-value adding activities as a pre-requisite for process automation.
- Diagnose process variations in the operations using machine learning and data science tools. Develop soft sensors/predictors to improve control systems.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have;-
- BSc or BEng Industrial Engineering
- No prior experience required
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
Engineer in Training – Chemical
The comprehensive on-the-job training programme will enable a graduate to become proficient in Chemical Engineering.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have;-
- BSc or BEng Chemical Engineering
- No prior experience required
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
