PDPS is looking for a suitable candidate for our Engineering division. We offer great opportunities to gain experience and development towards ECSA registration, in exchange for engineering deliverables, based on a win-win employment agreement.
Job Description:
Mechanical Engineer in Training
The successful candidate will be joining the mechanical engineering department based in Secunda, typically starting in mid-year 2023.

Plant Design and Project Services (PDPS) is a multi-discipline engineering design and construction company. The company has been providing a comprehensive range of technical, engineering (Detailed designs, Engineering assistance on projects, etc.), maintenance, construction and project management services to clients and project houses in selected market segments which include the power generation, chemical and petrochemical industry.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified Mechanical Engineer: BEng, BSc Eng
- 60% average during academic tertiary studies (advantageous)
- 0-1 Years experience
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to think practically whilst complying with technical requirements (codes and client specifications)
- Ability to multi-task, organise and prioritise work
- Excellent communication and people skills (co-workers as well as clients)
- Hardworking and committed
- Enthusiastic about engineering and ready for a challenge
- Secunda area based (working from PDPS offices in Secunda)
