Graduate Trainee Communication
Purpose of the Position:
- To gain professional experience on an 18-month divisional rotation Graduate Development Program, designed to develop future leaders in the media & entertainment industry
- To complete all training modules designed for this program and participate in mentorship, coaching and on the job training
- To work closely with managers and colleagues on projects and initiatives as required
- To develop skills that can be applied to specialist areas such as Media& Communications, Digital Marketing, Customer Relations, Brand Management and Marketing
Key Performance Objectives:
On-the job training and delivery
- Participate in structured learning, both formal and informal
- Engage in continuous feedback
- Minute-taking or compiling notes from meetings
- Compile internal communications
- Contribute to documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations as required
- Conduct research
- Contribute to specific projects and initiatives as outlined by Senior Manager
- Request necessary data and information from internal departments for internal and external commications
- Contribute to PR related marketing campaigns
- Media and social media monitoring
- Assist in control of communications workflow traffic
- Liaise and collaborate with Independent Service Providers (ISPs)
Qualifications:
- Essential: Degree level educational qualification in one of the following specialities:
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Media or Communications
- Bachelors Degree in Journalism
- Bachelors Degree in Strategic Brand Communications
- Diploma in Public Relations
- Diploma in Journalism or Media Studies
- Preferred: Honours
Requirements:
- Must have less than 2 years working experience post studies
- South African citizen by birth/naturalisation or eligible to work in South Africa
- Must be able to demonstrate portfolio of evidence of communications related work

Graduate Trainee Legal
Purpose of the Position:
- To gain professional experience on an 18-month divisional rotation Graduate Development Program, designed to develop future leaders in the media & entertainment industry
- To complete all training modules designed for this program and receive mentorship, coaching and on the job training
- To work closely with managers and colleagues on projects and initiatives as required
- To develop skills that can be applied to specialist areas such as Digital Marketing, Customer Value Management, Sales, Finance, Customer Experience, Legal, Corporate Affairs and Marketing, IT and Technology fields
Key Performance Objectives:
On-the job training and delivery
- Participate in structured learning, both formal and informal
- Engage in continuous feedback
- Coordinate meetings, logistics, event attendance, etc.
- Contribute to documents, briefing papers, reports and presentation development as required
- Conduct background research and present findings
- Contribute to specific projects and initiatives as outlined by Manager
- Request necessary data from management so that reports can be compiled
- In terms of specific legal role:
- To provide expertise, research, administrative support on behalf of SuperSport Legaland advice on legal aspects of corporate decisions, policies and plans with a focus on media rights and sport content acquisitions and sport content productions.
- Assist with legal compliance and governance; contract managementandthe sharing of contract extracts with business units, rights analysis and contract interpretation and drafting, facilitate corporate and commercial business transactions, dispute resolutions, settlement negotiations and discussions.
Legal Support
Governance
- Advise on intellectual property and rights related queries
- Prepare presentationsand research on various legal topics
- Provide advice or recommendations on corporate and commercial transactions
- Review various media and sport related agreements
- Conduct training on pieces of legislation applicable to the Group
- Provide legal guidance on the structure of proposed transactions and services
- Prepare or update policies as may be necessary
- Maintain and develop a database of legal templates and precedents applicable to the SuperSport business.
- Provide advice on corporate governance developments and ensure adherence thereof
- Assist with the management of the Legal Compliance Programme (including preparation of Risk Registers)
Qualifications:
- Essential: Degree level educational qualification in one of the following specialities:
- B.Comm or B.A Law with LLB
- Preferred: Honours
Requirements:
- Must have less than 2 years working experience post studies
- South African citizen by birth/naturalisation or eligible to work in South Africa
- Must have obtained a minimum of 65% aggregate for completed, or more recent, academic results
