Engineering Trainee/Intern

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Engineering Graduate (Sustainability) to support our sustainability initiatives within our organization. The ideal candidate will report to the Senior Program Manufacturing Leader and assist in identifying and implementing sustainability projects, strategies, and practices that will minimize our company’s carbon footprint, and foster environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Being a key representative for Forvia’s sustainability roadmap within the organization
- Conduct research, data analysis, and report on sustainability opportunities within our company
- Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of sustainability projects and practices
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to raise awareness and educate employees on the importance of sustainability initiatives and promote participation
- Communicate internally via the use of newsletters
- Coordinate and participate in the implementation of sustainable initiatives (e.g., waste reduction, energy and water conservation, green procurement, etc.)
- Possible travels – scope is throughout the 4 plants in South Africa (Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage, Pretoria)
- Assist in controlling the associated set budgets
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Degree or equivalent qualification in;-
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Environmental Science
- Or related field
- Proven experience in sustainability initiatives and/or projects would be advantages
Finance Trainee/Intern
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

The Finance Graduate will be responsible for various support activities in the Finance Shared Service Centre.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in ensuring compliance to all financial procedures
- Execute and control internal finance procedures in accordance with Group procedures and policies
- Ensure site activities are compliant with Faurecia finance related procedures (product flow, inventory, routings) and internal control basics
- Internal audit of processes and procedures
- Provide reliable financial / controlling information
- Preparation of daily KPI dashboard
- Participate in financial forecasting processes, providing data for budget, periodic forecast etc.
- Collect and manage data consolidation and reporting, ensuring reliability, consistency, transparency and compliance
- Update information into the ERP System
- Assist in ensuring reliability of standard costing
- Contribute to controlling analysis including variance analysis/standard costs, margin/programs, plant budgetary control
- Collaborate with Shared Service Center obtaining/providing proper finance information
- Contribute to the control and management of the plant’s operating cahflow (capex, inventories, overdues)
Qualifications and Position Requirements:
- Education: Finance Degree / Diploma
- Knowledge and Experience:
- Computer literate and good knowledge of IT systems
- Solid accounting knowledge
- Strong teamwork
- Languages: Good communication skills
R&D Finance Trainee/Intern

The R&D Finance Trainee/Intern is responsible for assisting in the controlling of the financial aspects for one or several programs (depending on their size and complexity) in order to monitor, assess and support the optimization of the program’s profitability and cash.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a R&D Finance Trainee/Intern, your main responsibilities are as follow:
- Maintain and monitor business plans within the acquisition phase
- Take special tasks in development programs
- Collaborate as a controller in the serial follow up of different program
- Provide reliable financial / controlling information
