Columbus is offering an opportunity to develop through the practical application of the theoretical principles that you have learned about.
Our structured 24 month training program will give you exposure to:
- The various stages of stainless steel production – melting, hot and cold rolling and related processes.
- Partnering the production team to optimise throughput; ensuring consistent processing, and solving technical, system and metallurgical problems.
Requirements:
In order to be eligible for this opportunity you need to be completing all your study modules by the end of this year (2023) or have completed your studies of;-
- The following fields of studies
No previous work experience is required.

Graduate-in-Training: Chemistry
Qualifications:
- National Diploma or Degree in Chemistry
Engineer-in-Training: Process Instrumentation (Electrical)
- National Diploma or BEng Tech Degree in Instrumentation (Electrical) Engineering
Engineer-in-Training: Mechanical Engineering
Qualifications:
- National Diploma or BEng Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Graduate-in-Training: Chemistry
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. Chemistry (Lab)
Graduate/Engineer-in-Training: IT, Business Improvement, Big Data
Qualifications:
- Any Degree in: Data Science, Data Engineering or Statistics e.g;-
- B.IT
- B. Sc or B.Eng. Engineering degree,
- B. Sc. Honors in Big Data Analytics,
- B. Sc. Honors in Computer Science,
- B. Sc. in Quantitative Risk Management
- Or similar
Graduate-in Training: Finance (Treasury & Accounting)
Qualifications:
- B.Comm Finance: Treasury and Accounting
Graduate-in-Training: Human Resources
Qualifications:
- B.Comm Human Resource
Graduate-in-training: Supply Chain
Qualifications:
- B. Comm Supply Chain: Procurement
- BCom Degree with any study field which will be valuable in the Procurement environment like business management, economics or analytical subjects.
Engineer-in-Training: Mechanical Engineering
Qualifications:
- National Diploma or BEng Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering
