Tropical Cyclone Eloise makes a landfall in Mozambique

Talane – Tropical Cyclone Eloise made landfall in Mozambique’s coastal city of Beira early on Saturday.

According to IOL, a South African Weather Service forecaster Mbazhi Maliage reported a huge gusts of wind and heavy rains hitting the coastal city of Beira in Mozambique which left some building walls lying low and cars trickling in water.

“Eloise made landfill around 2:30 a.m. in the morning with wind speeds of 160 kilometres per hour (kph) (99 miles per hour), said Maliage.

UNICEF Mozambique emergency teams swiftly went to the ground in order to assess clans affected by the Eloise in Beira.

The Cyclone Eloise damaged properties and power lines.
