The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (DENOSA) says South Africa must be placed back on Level 5

Maphopha – The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (DENOSA) wants the entire country to move back to level 5 of lockdown.

DENOSA wants the country to be on unreserved strictest lockdown because its members, healthcare workers cannot cope with the current situation brought by the second wave of Covid-19.

Previously the healthcare facilities, literally public hospitals were inspected which highlighted lack of personal protection equipment (PPE), this might be one of the reasons for the suggestion of moving back to level 5.

We are fully aware that healthcare workers are facing the most difficult situation, literally nurses as they are prone to contracting Covid-19 due to poor PPE.
