Jane Furse – shortage of water hit Sekhukhune, specifically so hard.
It’s been months since water crisis has befallen the residents of Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality. There’s no even a drop of water.
Several attempts has been made by the residents to curb the situation but no changes has been made. We see the leaders of the communities resorting to banning political parties from penetrating their residents or canvasing when elections are approaching, this emerges after the poor service delivery experience by the residents.
This is a repeated incident as we have seen an unreserved shortage of water in the middle of the year 2019, where residents begun sharing water with animals.
Today, the 26th of November 2020, we have seen a mob of Sekhukhune residents who converged to seek answers to the empty promises made by the Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality.
The mass meeting took place at the Pitch or ground alongside the New Jane Furse Hospital.
Much isn’t heard as to what’s way forward.
