A 28-years-old Brazilian Footballer Neymar says he want to play alongside Lionel Messi again, he made the assertions yesterday when he was with ESPN through comments carried by El Larguero following Manchester united’s 3-1 lose against Paris St-Germain where Neymar’s 2 goals.
“I want to play with Messi again, it’s what I want the most. I want to enjoy being on the pitch with him again. For sure next year we have to do it,” said Brazilian footballer.
Joan Laporta, who was the president of FC Barcelona from 2003 to 2010, who currently presented his candidacy for Barcelona’s presidential elections each will he held on the 24th of January 2021, told Catalunya Radio that when he conversed with Messi they haven’t discussed a possible renewal.
“I haven’t spoken with him about the the renewal. I need to have the authority as elected president to be able to do it. Could we renew his deal with the current figures? Sure, there are imaginative solutions that can enable Messi to remain at the club. Messi is a priority, all the clubs love him and he makes any club a candidate to win everything, he makes that difference,” said the FC Barcelona president-elect Laporta.
Neymar spend much of her professional career in Spain playing for Barcelona, where he formed part of the strongest lethal MSN strike force alongside Luis Suarez and Messi.
According to Football Espana, Neymar joined the Catalans in 2013 from Santos where he won two La Liga titles, three Copa del Reys, one Spanish Super Cup, one Clun World Cup and one Champions League at Champ Nou before joining PSG in a record €200 million (R3,7 billion) deal in 2017.
Messi began slowing as he’s ageing, he’s reaching his mid 30s, he registered 31 goals and 27 assists last season from 44 appearances, making Neymar’s desire to play with him more understandable. The season prior the last one, Messi scored 51 goals with 20 assists contribution from 50 games.
From Neymar statement, PSG might sign Messi if Barcelona doesn’t renew his contract to stay at the club. President-elect Laporta made a disturbing statement which tells us that the team might keep Messi, surely if he’s with the authority prior the end of Lionel’s contract with Barcelona.
