Mokopane – One of the lodge employees at Masodi village alongside Mokopane discovered the bodies of a 20-year-old female and her one-year-old daughter in one of the rooms, earlier today.

According to Mahwelereng SAPS Communications Officer Constable Mantutule Masibe, the room where the bodies were discovered, had been booked by a man who came with the deceased.

The employees at the lodge became suspicious after no movement from the deceased, a spare key was used to enter the room.

According to police reports, both the mother and the daughter (victims), were strangled to death.

“Preliminary investigations were conducted and pathology services transported the bodies to the Mokopane Hospital. Their next of kin was notified,” she explained.

Investigations revealed that the identity man who came with the deceased and who had booked the room, had been disclosed and he had identified as the woman’s partner – the man’s a foreign national.
