Limpopo – Limpopo discovered drugs worth R1 million and a 40-year-old man was arrested in Pololwane for the possession thereof.
The foreign national was arrested on Friday afternoon in Polokwane whilst in his dwellings.
Limpopo Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mamphaswa Seabi said the police received a tip-off about the suspect and swiftly responded to the matter.
“Members of the Limpopo Highway Patrol and the Tracing Team conducted an intelligence-driven operation after receiving information on the suspect, who was allegedly dealing in drugs at a particular address in Polokwane,” said Seabi.
After thorough search of the suspect’s premises, discovered was a humongous quantify of crystal meth, nyaope and drug manufacturing chemicals.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was possibly the kingpin distributor of drugs to local dealers who were selling on the streets,” said Seabi.
The suspect’s anticipated to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court soon.
Seabi said police investigations are continuing.
