Shudufhadzo Musida

“I want to be president,” says Miss SA Shudufhadzo Musida

Ngwaabe – Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida says she wants to be president. This attracted mixed reactions.

Shudufhadzo’s said to be the longest Miss SA title holder in history, and she’ll represent SA in Miss World 2021.

On Wednesday evening, Shudufhadzo took to Twitter the saying that she wants to be president, though she didn’t specify or make it clear what president she wants to be.

Miss South Africa organisation responded to Shudufhadzo giving her the courage that she can do it if she dreams about it as she has faced adverse circumstances and her power as Miss SA, as such she can take on any position, and prosper in such position.

“We believe that the ability to succeed in the face of adversity, while staying true to ideals and principles of a better society gives birth to greatness. We believe that when women face their power and embrace their future they can take on any position and succeed,”said the organisation.

The organisation added that every person has dreams which will merely take courage to pursue them.

“We all have dreams within us and may we take courage today to pursue them and take up space!,” the organisation added.

Miss SA organisation is accused of promoting its page instead of promoting Shudfhadzo, her fans asked the organisation to change its Twitter account profile picture and put her.

What South Africans are saying about Shudufhadzo’s wanting to be president

South Africans exhibit their mixed feelings toward Miss SA + Miss World’s tweet, some against her whilst some emerge supportive.

Zodwa Sigwiji says “at least Duduzane Zuma will have competitor [since he announced that he will be campaigning for the Presidency elections].”

Nobesuthu Gubevu says she’s behind her [Miss SA], she must “start her own party.”

She’s attacked because of her sumptuous lifestyle as many asked if she wants to be the president of “bikni bodies” and they highlighted that, if she were hiding her “umdidi” they were going to support her.

It is said that she focuses more on pictures than on writing enticing contents which of course would have myriads of her fans supporting her with the issue of being the president.

Following hurting replies, Justin Phiri came on board to cushion South Africans and to warn them of the way they react toward Miss World.

“I don’t blame you all for hating because you all come from societies where women are not allowed to dream this big… Miss SA is allowed to become whoever she wishes to be,” said Phiri.

Another Twitter account going by the name son of the soil, responded to Phiri by highlighting that just because you are famous doesn’t mean you can succeed in politics. The account highlighted that Jimmy Munyai failed to get one seat in parliament irrespective of his fame, so Phiri must stop giving Shudufhadzo Musida false hopes.

“If you understand politics you wouldn’t say that, Twitter followers doesn’t reflect voters you will get so we don’t want her to be cinfused.. Remember Jimmy Manyi who thought labour union can be a political party he failed to get even one seat n parliament. So don’t give false hope.”
