Limpopo – A 24-year-old male from Moletjie was stabbed to death by a group of boys on Tuesday, the 12th of January 2021.
Police spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe says the incident happened near Ga-Mokgokong village, the evening of Tuesday – 12th day of January.
Limpopo Police Commissioner Lieutenant Colonel Nneke Ledwaba condemned the killing of a 24-year-old as the community were asked to bring forth any information that might lead to the arrest of those involved.
“The man and his friends were chased by a group of boys when he was separated from his group. He was then cornered by those who were chasing him, and stabbed to death.”
The police were then notified went to the scene with emergency medical services for immediate help, unfortunately upon their arrival the victim was lying down helpless in a pool of blood.
The victim had been stabbed multiple times and was declared dead at the scene, his identity remain unknown as was during the certification of his death.
The police said, “a manhunt for those involved has been launched and the police urge anyone with information that can lead to their arrest, to contact Colonel Monica Nemavhola at 082 565 7288, the 24-hour Crime Stop at 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
