- Zuma’s expected to appear at the commission from Monday to Friday.
- Yesterday (Monday) he failed to make such appearance.
- He says as long as Zondo’s the chairperson at the commission, he won’t make appearance.
- His supporters and Umkhonto weSizwe Military Veterans’ Association are fully supporting his movement and defying the summon to appear before the commission.
Johannesburg – Former SA President Jacob Zuma said he’d rather go to jail than to appear at the inquiry.
Zuma was expected to appear at the inquiry yesterday (Monday) at 10am, his lawyer confirmed that he won’t be part of the proceedings.
Zuma’s expected to appear at the inquiry as from yesterday (Monday) until Friday, he sticked to his saying that he will not appear at the inquiry as long as Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo’s the chairperson.
Last year Zuma walked out of Zondo commission without being excused, this led Zondo to heading straight to ConCourt to urge Zuma to appear at the inquiry on all the dates he is and/or required to appear or summoned.
Despite the ruling thereof, Zuma still defied the summon to appear at the inquiry this year, Monday being the initial day.
We sstrongly believe there is more to this micky mouse game interval Zondo and Zuma, might it be possible that the public is deceived or it’s just another style of ANC acting all childish before the public whilst shaking hands behind the scene?
According to Daily Maverick, Zuma is highly protected by Umkhonto weSizwe Military Veterans’ Association (MKMVA) as they were outside his facade to avert any entry to his (Zuma) home.
“It is a very long statement, comrades, but we thought that we should give you the developments, the genesis of the persecution of Nxamalala [Jacob Zuma] in the past 20 or so years,” Gauteng leader and MKMVA spokesperson Carl Niehaus said on Monday.
“We won’t allow Zuma to be arrested or [ANC Secretary-General] Ace [Magashule] to step aside,” said Niehaus.
“We were asked many times, comrades, what we mean by protecting Msholozi [Zuma]. Part of what we mean by protecting Msholozi is to make sure that the message goes out why uBaba [Zuma] has taken the decision that he has taken.”
Zuma supporters are seeing camping outside his Nkandla, they said they are there to make sure that no crazy decision of touching Msholozi is going to be effected, in simple terms they will chase away, whoever would try to touch Zuma.
They refer to the commission as Zondo-Zuma commission and they say they are the ones who love revolution.
