ATM leader and South Africans are not impressed by the appointment of Dr Xiaomei Havard as the replacement of the Minister in the Presidency Jackson Mthembu
Talane – South African leading party has announced the replacement of 5 Members of Parliament, inter alia, the late Jackson Mthembu who was the Minister in the Presidency Office.
The Independent Online or IOL made it clear that the African National Congress (ANC) moved fast to replace the late Jackson Mthembu from the Presidency Ministry.
In a statement, the party said, “President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Minister of Small Business Development Ms Khumbudzo Ntshaveni as acting Minister in the Presidency: Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation until further notice. This appointment, in terms of Section 98 of the Constitution, follows the passing away of Minister in the Presidency Jackson Mthembu on Thursday, 21 January 2021, from Covid-19 complications.”
On Wednesday, the Presidency made the announcement that Mthembu’s capacity in the National Assembly would be occupied by Dr Xiaomei Havard from Gauteng.
The Presidency went ahead to say, “Minister Ntshaveni will continue to perform her responsibilities as Minister of Small Business Development while acting as Minister in the Presidency.”
The African Transformation Movement (ATM) President Vuyo Zungula asked why a Chinese is allowed to be part of SA parliament whilst a black person who was born in China isn’t afforded the privilege of born a member of Chinese parliament.
One of Zunguala’s followers made such a serious reply as Aluwani made it clear that China doesn’t issue working visa for any of the opportunitiesin the country apart from the one of teaching English – the mere job Chinese parliament issue work permit towards.
Man’s Not Barry Roux, a Twitter account with 1,2 million followers, tweeted the announcement of Dr Havard as the new Minister in the Presidency, which showed dissatisfaction from myriads of South Africans.
Another Twitter account with the name SA remove ANC from Power 2024, showed disappointment for such appointment, blaming the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa when it says “South Africa is for everyone who lives in it,” asking why in SA we accept people from different countries to come and rule us.
Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) MP Naledi Chirwa was brought in the picture as she was once attacked on her national and not deemed fit to be a South African Member of Parliament, given Dr Havard is from China.
Womalist aaccount responded to Chirwa’s issue, saying according to “Patriotic South Africans” merely black people from African countries are foreigners and supposedly not allowed to occupy any position in the National Assembly.
