Yesterday there was a crash in N3 highway at Van Reenen’s Pass, and this morning there was a crash in N3 highway between Durban and Pietermaritzburg.
In today’s accident, a container fell off a truck hitting a minibus taxi, 2 people lost their lives and 12 were injured.

“It is believe that a container fell off a truck and landed on top of a fully-loaded minibus,” said the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Emergency Management Emergencies (EMS) spokesperson, Robert McKenzie.
The accident let to having N3 high between Durban and Pietmaritzburg closed, this happens for the second time in a row, following yesterday’s detrimental crash.
“Two people have sustained injuries in this incident and paramedics have treated 12 patients at the scene,” added McKenzie.
