A man in possession of drugs worth over R1 million is arrested in Polokwane following a police tip-off

Limpopo – A tip-off leads police to a drug dealer in Bendor, recovered was different types of drugs such as crystal myth, nyaope and CAT.

The police raided the suspect’s dwelling in Bendor, yielding drugs valued over R1m, the arrested was effected yesterday, the 24th of December 2020.

In writing, Limpopo Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Mamphaswa Seabi asserted that the provincial highway patrol team whilst on duty, received intel alerting them about a particular man selling drugs in the city, and they responded by going to the man.

“The members operationalised and a vehicle, which matched the description given, was spotted in the city. The vehicle was stopped and searched, and drugs were found hidden inside. Further investigation led the members to the suspect’s residence in Bendor, where various drugs such as CAT, crystal myth and nyaope were found, and confiscated,” said Seabi.

A 47-years-old suspect was then found in possession of undisclosed amount of money which, together with the vehicle that was transporting the drug, was also seized. The drugs are said to worth more than R1m.

The suspect is believed to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Courts having being charged with possession of and dealing of drugs.

The acting SAPS provincial commission, Major General Jan Scheepers commented on the arrest with an unreserved acknowledgement and cited the team’s dedication too the blue uniform, applauding them.
