Mamelodi Sundowns loses one of its defenders Motjeka Madisha in a horrific car crash

Today, the 13th of December Sundowns family experienced a bereavement of their prominent star Motjeka Madisha (25).

It was around 02:00 at Zuurfontein Road, Chloorkop next to ABC Auto Parts when the player, Madisha and his friend (25) got involved in a serious car crash which ended up catching flames.

“It happened around 02:00 at Zuurfontein Road, Chloorkop next to ABC Auto Parts. A scene of accident of a white BMW… Two occupants in the car were burnt and one of them was beyond recognition and were certified dead by Ekurhuleni Emergency Services,” Police confirmed.

A white BMW was travelling, the crash happened in Midrand.

“The car was travelling from the direction of Kempton Park towards Tembisa. Seemingly, driver lost control and the car hit a steel board displaying pole with the backside and caught flame.”

Mamelodi Sundowns tweeted that they are aware of the media reports concerning their player, Madisha. They will make an announcement in due course.

The accident happened following Sandawana’s 50th anniversery on Saturday night.

Madisha was also part of Bafana Bafana as they send their condolences, saying they are still shocked and devastated of the loss.

Madisha’s death follows that of former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Anele Ngcongca’s death at 33 – he was laid to rest on Friday. Ngcongca was involved in a fatal car crash in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday.

South African Football Players Union (SAFPU) took to tweeter, shocking words expressing how heartbroken they are about the passing of Madisha.
