Jane Furse – Sekhukhune District’s Executive mayor Stanley Ramaila handed a 5 room house to Maphanga clan, yesterday – the 18th December in Glen Cowie. at Pelepele Park.

Executive councillor Ramaila was accompanied by the Makhuduthamaga mayoral committee member councillor Rinah Maisela and the ward councillor to do the offering.

The Maphanga family were handed over a fully furnished house which consists of 3 bedrooms (including beds), a fully furnished kitchen and living room with lounge suites.

The Maphanga family’s glad for the contribution as they highlighted how living in a one room house was, and how privacy were something foreign to them, though as from yesterday, their lives are adapted for good.

This is the case in a variety of clans. Though the Sekhukhune district decided to set a smile on the Maphanga’s and offload the burden they have been carrying for ages.

The mayor says he’s helping Nomvula Maphanga so that her children will be able to focus on their status without being badgered, and the major reason is the home owner’s being an orphan and not working (unemployed).

Nomvula express her feelings of gratitude as she said she’s ran out of words as she doesn’t know how to put words best to describe what was happening in their lives.

“I’m so excited and lost with words about what’s happening today. May God bless all Samaritans that played part in giving my family this gift. May you regain strength and power to change others’ lives,” said Maphanga.
