To acquire on the job training or experience in the R&D environment for the purposes of fulfilling qualification requirements or to get experience after qualification.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for routine analytical and product quality tests.
- Lead base product collection from the production lines for development and pilot plant level Lead sample preparation for consumer research
- Lead sample preparation for sales listing of new product into stores Collaborate with product developers
- Manage courier requests Support maintenance of pilot plant in accordance with 5 S Manage seasoning functionality (Brookfield Testing)
- Conduct seasoning applications, ensuring in specification salt results are attained
- Engage with external labs for sodium testing & microbiological testing Operation of packaging machine: – Film change – Sample coder Conduct following Laboratory tests : – Salt Analysis – Oil Analysis – Bulk Density Analysis – Particle Size Analysis – Moisture Analysis
Qualifications:
- Degree in a Food Science, Food Technology
- Completed at least second year modules Food Technology/Science or biotechnology with 65-70% aggregate mark
- South African citizen
