MATRIC GAP YEAR PROGRAMME 2024
H&I Construction, a Cape Town based civil and building contractor invites all current Grade 12 learners to apply for their matric gap year programme.
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to participate in various Civil Engineering/Construction disciplines such as:
- New Road Construction and Rehabilitation;
- Structural Concrete Works;
- Renewable Energy;
- Solar Power;
- Commercial Building;
- Marine, Water and Sanitation.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- MUST be in GRADE 12 in 2023
- MUST be a South African Citizen
- MUST have a MINIMUM OF 60% FOR PURE/TECHNICAL MATHEMATICS & PHYSICAL SCIENCE
- MUST be willing to take a ‘GAP YEAR’ in 2024
- MUST be willing to relocate within the borders of South Africa for the duration of 2024
- MUST intend to study Civil Engineering or Construction in 2025
ONLY CANDIDATES MEETING THE ABOVE WILL BE CONSIDERED
BURSARY OPPORTUNITIES
Bursaries are awarded at the completion of the Gap Year Programme based on:
- Overall site performance during the Gap Year;
- Acceptance to one of the below tertiary institutions to study towards a BSc / BEng / BEng Tech Diploma in;-
- Civil Engineering
- Construction Management
- Construction;
- Final selections are made by an internal committee
