As a Warehouse & Distribution Learner in our Fragrance Division, you will under direct supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines by performing logistic functions including sampling, receiving, warehouse and distribution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for;-
- Inventory Management:
- You will support with day to day activities of inventory management.
- You will read the customer order, work order, shipping order, orrequisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed.
- You will assist with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stockrotation, and maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.
- Material Management:
- You will prepare product(s) for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded as per customer orders. Youwill sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, colour, or product code.
- You will load, unload, move, stack and stage products and materials in dedicated areas using a fork lift, clamp truck or other power equipment.
- You will prepareunused materials for return to main warehouse.
- You will maintain distribution center/ warehouse and equipment by keeping it clean and safe, reporting service requests as needed.
- You will conductoperations in compliance with company guidelines and public regulations in a manner which promotes safety. You will execute other tasks as required andassigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Matric or equivalent required.
- Passion for logistics functions (sampling, receiving, warehouse & distribution).
- Team work and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
