The following 1 Year Learnership Opportunities are open for applications:

North West Process / Plant Operator Learnerships

As a Learner you will be trained and and given the opportunity to operate production lines of Expanfo products and assist with monitoring and control of the operation by means of processes, controls, electrical and electronic information, and mechanical technology. Also to control, monitor and operate the plant ensuring that in-specification product is produced, bagged, and dispatched. Provide supports the mining services team objectives and business imperatives by providing efficient coaching and advice to the customers on the application of ENAEX explosives products while enhancing the customer/supplier relationship.

Daily Duties include, but not limited to:

Prepare process equipment for commissioning and decommissioning.
Operate, achieve, and maintain optimal operating for production purposes.
Production of all Expanfo products.
To comply with SHE requirements about standards and procedures.
Use experience, procedures, and guidelines to guide action in systematic fashion.
Act on instruction, follow through and complete.
To keep the plant clean and encourage all for good housekeeping.
To report all deviations and plant defects.
To exchange information on process conditions at shift handover.
To report and respond to incidents, hazardous conditions and\or emergencies.
To master the plant operation (job) on all lines of operation through the work procedures and work instructions.
To independently learn the procedural and related requirements of own work and environment.
To genuinely value others input and expertise, willing to learn from others including peers. Co-operates with team and takes co-responsibility for team success.
To take action that is consistent with values and beliefs. Take pride in being punctual, trustworthy.

Northern Cape Explosives Operator Learnerships:

As a learner you will be trained and given opportunity to provides operational support in the charging and blasting related functions at open cast mines, in compliance with all Customer rules and procedures when operating at Customer sites.

Assist the Explosives Controller to conduct routine fault finding, trouble shooting, maintenance and repairs on the MMU process plant and chassis
Assist the Site Administrator with stock control
Load and unload the MMU with the correct raw materials
Unload raw materials (emulsion Matrix and Expand tankers)
Close blast holes with the correct stemming material to above the collar of the blast hole
Perform the duties of a blast guard as required
Cleaning and decontamination of MMU.
Identification of any abnormal conditions on the MMU and within the work area and reporting thereof to the Explosives Controller and/or Site Supervisor
Maintain ownership of bulk explosives MMU by conducting good housekeeping of the cab, chassis and plant.

Mpumalanga Mining Services Learnerships

1. Explosives Operator

Purpose of this Job: To provide support to the Engineer Explosives in managing the customer sales accounts to maximize short- and medium-term profitability of the company.

2. Maintenance Operator

Purpose of this Job: To ensure that agreed, on-specification, production volumes are achieved, efficiently and safety, as we support our customers.

3. Administrative Clerk

Purpose of this Job: To provide clerical functions as part of administrative and office support services.

4. Maintenance Operator: Diesel Mechanic

Purpose of this Job: To assist artisans with continuous vehicles availability through effective maintenance and service, by assisting with maintenance of vehicles and breakdowns.

5. MMU Controller

Purpose of this Job: To drive and operate bulk explosives Mobile Manufacturing Units, (MMUs), to deliver accurate quantities of bulk explosives at the right quality to our mining customers, on time and in full.

Limpopo Chargehead Learnerships

1. Maintenance Ops Chargehand

Purpose of this Job: To ensure effective support to the Artisan, maintaining good housekeeping and safety standards in work area

2. Ops Chargehand

Purpose of this Job: To provide efficient coaching and advice to the customers on the application of ENAEX explosives products.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must live in the aforementioned Provinces and Communities thereof.
Applicants must be 18 years or older.
Must have completed N3 / Grade 12 / Matric certification with Physical Science and Mathematics.
Clear Criminal Record.Medically Fit for Duty.
