The SA Metal Group currently has a vacancy for a motivated, professional and attentive to detail HR Assistant to join their team and drive company policy and procedures. The successful candidate will provide HR Services to the SA Metal Group and will report directly to the Divisional Director.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Recruitment for entry level positions. Assist with interviews, screening CVs, scheduling interviews and conducting employment checks
- Onboarding of new employees as and when required
- Maintain and manage the personal records of employees on matters relating to wages, leave and training
- Assist with administrative functions as and when required
- Industrial relations, assist with administration for disciplinary matters
Qualifying Criteria:
- Diploma in Human Resource Management
- Knowledge of the LRA and BCEA
- 1-2 years of experience in the Human Resources field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills on all levels
- Confidentiality, tact and discretion essential when dealing with people
- Computer Literacy viz. Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- Time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Own reliable transport
