The supply chain analyst will form part of the LLP team responsible for the PFG Control Tower. The aim of the team is to provide Imperial and the client with the relevant reports, information, and decision support to assist in optimising operations and to identify, test and implement cost saving initiatives. (Route planning and transport related). The role will focus and be made up of a mix of projects, planning rotation and order management. Rsponsible for the master data, refinement of reporting, order management and facilitating planning.



Key Performance Areas:

  • Reporting:
    • Building KPI and activity reports with the aim of measuring fleet performance and identifying areas of concern.
    • Standardising, updating and where possible automating reports.
    • Communicating and presenting on reports.
    • Ensure quality of reports of team members.
    • Ad hoc and Dedicated fleet analysis: Build fleet mix and streamlined reporting with order management focus.
    • Assist in developing tactical implementation strategies to reach optimised use in close collaboration with the LLP planners.
    • Analyse fleet data, identify and investigate any irregularities and provide relevant information to stakeholders.
  • Projects:
    • Identifying areas for improvement
    • Managing projects to delivery
  • General:
    • Interaction with ops personnel, client and other 3PLs.
    • Tasks could include the following (project / responsibility dependent);-
      • Data analysis
      • Simulations of networks with current operating systems
      • What-if transport modelling
      • Project planning and execution
      • Process mapping



Qualifications:

  • BEng Industrial or
  • BCom Logistics

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in Supply Chain or any other business or commercial field is advantageous Supply Chain and Project Management experience will be beneficial with a logistics company
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Power BI
  • Transport routing and scheduling experience beneficial
  • Analytical (Strong MS Excel)
  • Plan, manage and be responsible for own time management according to tasks priorities – Planning and working flexibly to a deadline
  • Problem solving
  • Teamwork
  • Promoting Process Improvement
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills
  • Good leadership skills to obtain appropriate information and to arrange and co-ordinate small projects
