Established fruit export company based in Tygervalley seeks to appoint a recent graduate to join their marketing team. The ideal applicant has skills that are equally strong in the analytical and numerical aspect of logistical planning, as with the communication and relationship building aspects of customer services and sales.
Minimum Requirements:
- Completed Degree in Marketing / Agriculture / Logistics / Business Management
- Excellent verbal command of English and Afrikaans (more than 70% of the client base is Afrikaans speaking). This is a non-negotiable criteria.
- Intermediary Excel Skills
- Drivers Licence
- Extensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Buying of locally grown fruit from farmers in the Western Cape
- Selling of the fruit consignments to the international market
- Negotiating prices and terms with both farmers and buyers
- Allocating sales to the identified markets
- Liaising telephonically and via email with customers and suppliers
- Eventually you will be required to visit farmers within the Western Cape

- 1 to 2 years
