Eduvos is looking to hire the services of a IT Tutor at our Mbombela (Nelspruit) campus.
We are looking to recruit a tutor for information technology to assist with the facilitation of information technology modules.
Requirements:
In order to be considered for the opportunity, the following pre-requisites must be met:
- A graduate in the relevant programme. (Bachelors of Information Technology or Bachelor of Computer Science)
- Maintained an average of 65% minimum for all modules
Additional Notes:
- This is a part-time opportunity and the successful candidates will be remunerated per hour of tutoring.
- Training will be implemented for the duties and responsibilities concerned.
Responsibilities:
- Support the students on campus to improve their academic success in their respective modules.
- Support and give academic advice to students in the various information technology modules.
- Prepare for tutoring sessions by reviewing module content and assignments.
- Create educational materials to further demonstrate subject matter to be covered in tutoring sessions.
- Assist students to liaise with all relevant stakeholders in respect of any other academic support functions and challenges.
- To discuss challenges with students and present interventions regularly.
- Support students with study strategies and techniques to enhance academic success.
- Support the evaluation, monitoring and tracking of academic support interventions, to measure the impact on academic success.
- Tutors will participate in all tutor training and evaluation sessions related to their duties and or other support interventions with subject/module lecturers, programme managers and the academic support advising lead.
- To assist in the administrative activities as required.
