Afrimat Jenkins Operations has a vacancy for: Assistant Accountant
Duties and Responsibilities:
The person will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Execute general administrative duties Assist with daily reports, ensure information is correctly recorded before submitting reports.
- Diesel to be ordered on time and ensure correct quantities.
- Complete records as required and submit to Finance department.
- Carry out ad hoc duties as requested by manager.
- Check for accuracy of delivery.
- Complete Fuel Issue Record fully for each fill capturing all required information.
- Assisting with reconciling to GL . Carrying out purchase ledger and intercompany reconciliations.
- Helping with month end reconciliations including accruals and prepayments.
- Inputting of purchase orders, good receipts and matching invoices.
Minimum Requirements / Key Competencies:
- Degree / Diploma in Accounting.
- Driver’s license.
- Effective communication skills.
- Good clerical and administrative ability.
- Minimum 2 year clerical / administrative experience.
- Experience in ERP system, preferable Accpac Willingness to work overtime.
- Excel proficient Must have strong planning and organizing skills and be able to reflect such in an admin agreed format.

The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
