The University of Limpopo is pleased to announce that recruitment for Interns in the specified disciplines of the Higher Education Employment Initiative will open on 1st July 2022 and close on 31st December 2022.
The Department of Higher Education and Training seeks to provide 3000 unemployed university graduates an employment and on the job training opportunities in the higher education sector, as part of the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative (PYEI)-Higher Education Employment Initiative (HEEI), which forms part of the Presidential Employment Stimulus (PES), seeking to mitigate the devastating economic challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Youth between the ages 18 and 35, who are currently unemployed, not studying full time, not receiving any form of a government grant (including NSFAS) and young people living with disability and women, are eligible and encouraged to apply for this enriching experience. Candidates selected for placement will have an opportunity to receive on the job training on various skills that will equip them for future employment opportunities.
All successful candidate will be placed on graduate Internships (in universities they graduated) for six months, from July 2022 to December 2022 for the available opportunities.
