National medical supplier based in Modderfontein, Johannesburg requires a Graduate (Logistics / Warehousing / Supply Chain qualification etc) to assist in the Warehouse and Customer Service Department for a 2 year paid internship.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving, packing, and sending of all required loan sets to branches and hospital cases
- You will handle delivery and collection of medical machines / equipment and all medical related stock for customers and arrange transportation via airport and / or couriers when required
- Perform “On Call & Shift” duties i.e.: collection / receipting / delivery of stock / loan sets wherever and whenever necessary
- Checking of all instruments for functionality to ensure good working order of medical instruments
- Preparation of appropriate documentation to accompany medical sets to and from customer
- Usages from medical loan equipment to be accurately recorded and copies thereof to be given to the invoicing department
- Recording and notification of missing / broken medical instrumentation
- Follow up with hospital staff and sales representatives regarding broken / missing medical instrumentation and medical stock
- Preparation for and participating in quarterly stock takes.
- Weekly stock counts
- Requisitioning of medical loan sets and implants and follow up
- Assist with the accurate recording of bookings from customers when required
- Assist with any general duties in Customer Service Department as and when required
Requirements:
- Matric is essential
- Preference will be given to graduates with Diploma or Degree in;-
- Supply Chain Management,
- Logistics,
- Warehousing
- Or similar.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Good command of the English language and clear communication is essential
- Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport is essential as this position is “shift work” and night time driving is required.
- Due to the operation, candidates needs to be able to work after hours, night shift, on call and for stock takes – this is not negotiable.
- You will be “on call” every 2nd weekend
- ERP System experience an advantage
- Preference will be given to Non-Smokers
- Previous working experience will be an advantage (0-1 years)
- Good computer skills (i.e., MS Office package)
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
