The College of Humanities Student Support Services seeks to employ a suitably qualified administrative intern for its Pietermaritzburg offices. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining student counsellor dairies, scheduling appointments, responding to student, staff and public enquiries via email and telephone, coordinating student emergency responses and intervention, record-keeping and filing, duties relating to staff meetings, communication on the University notice system, and general office management. The incumbent must be able to work well under pressure and as part of a team.

Minimum Requirements:
- Honours Degree in Social Sciences or Arts, with Psychology or a Cognate discipline as a major
- Knowledge and skill in working with Microsoft Office programmes, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- South African citizen below the age of 35 years
Career Development Intern x 1
REFERENCE NUMBER: HUM14/2022
Minimum Requirements:
- Honours Degree in Social Sciences or Arts, with Psychology or a Cognate discipline as a major
- Knowledge and skill in working with Microsoft Office programmes, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- South African citizen below the age of 35 years
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in isiZulu will be an advantage
- Good communication skills
- Good organisational skills
- Knowledge and experience with online platforms will be an advantage
The successful incumbent will be paid a stipend based on qualification.
