YC: IT Support

This IT Support job carries out user support, identifies defects and proposes changes and improvement activities for an assigned application or group of applications. This job assists users when defects are found by resolving the defects or providing temporary workarounds to keep the application operational when needed.

YC: CA Administrator

The main purpose of the job is to deliver an effective and efficient administrative support function to the Customer Adaptation (CA) department Operations Pretoria, in order to contribute towards the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To deliver an effective and efficient admin support service to UDTO CA Pretoria (e.g. capturing of data, processing of invoices, filing and filing systems, labelling, ad-hoc tasks).
  • To raise IP orders via SAP Ariba to get authorisation and GRN the receipt.
  • To record AP orders in the relevant systems (MS Excel and SysPro), place orders with suppliers and GRN receipts.
  • To update daily reports for various forums.
  • To assist with the organising and cleaning of electronic data.

YC: CD Assistant

The person will support wrt admin, logistics and general activities in the Competence Development and Retail Development Departments.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage flight, transfers and accommodation for training delegates;
  • Prepare Attendance Registers
  • Prepare Notice Board/Lecture Room
  • Print indemnity, name tags, material, certificates etc.
  • Arrange catering,
  • Order stationary and dry rations,
  • Compile monthly training reports,
  • Support with Training Management System (Navigator),
  • Support with UD Championship and Gemba competitions,
  • Data capturing of dealer KPI’s, QR etc.,

YC: Customer Service Support

The main purpose of the job is to oversee the incoming stock from Central Warehouse and outgoing stock to the Dealers. This function compliments the entire interface between the Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) and BA/Dealer/Customer on urgently required components.

Responsibilities and Duties

Customer Service:

  • Interface with and Respond to all Dealer queries.
  • Coordinating with the relevant function in order to resolve queries.
  • Updating of weekly back order report
  • Manage dealer Argus cases ensuring sufficient response time.
  • First point of contact with the dealers via relevant support mailboxes.
  • To follow-up with Warehouse on all orders, collections etc.
  • Follow delivery issues i.e. Nil Picks, Dealer Discrepancies, Transport delays etc.).
  • To ensure and manage a good Customer relations.
  • To ensure continuity of daily operations when acting at a back-up in the UD Trucks Customer Service Centre.
  • Provide effective support, calculates duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise exported and imported, to and from foreign destinations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Local Procurement:

  • Determine if parts quantities are sufficient for needs, order more when required based on the purchase proposal.
  • Liaise with suppliers in order to schedule / expedite deliveries and resolve shortages.
  • Follow up on outstanding orders and update expected time of arrivals
  • Reviewing daily orders (by going through shortages) to ensure proper stock levels are maintained
  • Reviewing special orders (VOR’s) to ensure they are ordered and delivered in a timely manner
  • Inputting data related to POs and invoices – Support finance and warehouse in terms of supplier queries with regards to incorrect deliveries and/ or prices invoiced

YC: Accountant

This position will be responsible for the Monthly sales provision accounting, inventory reconciliation and accounts payable processing.

Responsibilities and Duties

Monthly Sales Provision Accounting:

  • Identify provision raised through sales, check and control correct reporting to income statement.
  • Identify provisions raised to balance sheet.
  • Investigate expenses raised against sales provision to ensure correctness and validity.
  • Prepare monthly provision schedules.
  • Reconcile provision schedules to SAP general ledger, investigate and correct invalid entries.
  • Assistance with month-end reporting and period end closing activities.

Monthly Inventory Reconciliations:

  • Balance subsystems to General Ledger
  • Process corrective entries
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Weekly reporting on stock on hand

Monthly Accounts Payable Processing:

  • Capture supplier invoices and match to goods receive notes
  • Process monthly detailed upload sheet
  • Reconcile subsystems to reporting systems

  • Follow up on debit balance vendor accounts

YC: Legal Assistant

As legal assistant, you will be providing support to the Legal and Compliance Counsel in a variety of matters, including but not limited to commercial drafting, legal research, labour matters and litigation. This position will offer a candidate the opportunity to gain valuable experience prior to commencing their articles, thereby setting them apart from other candidates.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Supporting in commercial litigation matters by preparing briefs to external counsel, liaising with attorneys, attending consultations and court proceedings;
  • Supporting in labour and disciplinary matters by preparing charge sheets, compiling evidence bundles, preparing arguments and liaising with external attorneys;
  • Conducting legal research and drafting of opinions;
  • Preparing draft agreements; and
  • Filing and maintaining contract files, tracking elements of contracts in databases and spreadsheets, copying files providing general administrative support in relation to ongoing litigation and company secretarial support.

YC: Logistics Engineer

This position is responsible for improvement activities through implementation of UDPS (UD Production Systems) guidelines, undertaking new projects and re-engineering of the logistics facilities and flows.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for UDPS implementations for Logistics
  • Responsible for finalising all logistics process flows
  • Represent logistics in product and process related projects both internal and external.
  • Responsible to identify areas of improvement in all processes and areas and to implement projects/improvement activities to eliminate / reduce waste
  • Determine logistics support requirements, such as facility details, staffing needs, or safety or maintenance plans.
  • Design, develop, and implement efficient logistics systems that meet the specific needs of the company
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing engineers to ensure that an adequate supply of materials is constantly available
  • Responsible to carry out workshops for improvement activities and promote Kaizens
  • Conduct process standardisation using time study or other techniques
