The Platinum Incubator (TPI) invites applicants to apply for Engineering Workplace Practical Experience (P1/P2) / Student Internship Programme 2022.

TPI Industrial Engineering Internship
The ideal candidate will be a collaborator, practical thinker, and technical. She/He will be able to give support on multiple deliverables simultaneously; interact with incubation stakeholders (bottom to top). She/he will have a work hard, play hard attitude, be results driven; Ambitious; and committed to the end goal of the workplace experience program.
Reporting structure
Incumbent reports to the Production Mentor
Key Performance Areas:
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong technical application and knowledge acquired throughout the years of study.
- Implementing of multiple projects and activities using written for planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Knowledge of the periodic table and its elements, use in materials processing.
Inherent Responsibilities:
- Render support to concept formulation and ideal implementation.
- Preparation of logbook, monthly and quarterly reports on such concepts/ideas.
- Work very closely with Industrial Applications interns and mentors in producing products and developmental services.
- Work very closely with TPIs Technology partners e.g., Mintek, University of Johannesburg and other stakeholders.
- Maintain satisfactory working relationships with industrial application partners, SMMEs, other interns, TPI staff, and whole value chain.
- Participate in daily and weekly discussions with management and involved internal stakeholders.
- To support all concepts and record milestones adhering to satisfactory standards.
- Provide monthly feedback to the MQA on all activities relating to the Internship.
- Collaborate with other engineering practical experience candidates to find solutions for industrial applications implemented at TPI.
- Responsible for your work station and ensuring that company equipment’s are maintained and used in accordance with company policy and procedure.
Requirements:
- Matric / N6
- A relevant qualification in Chemical Engineering or Analytical Chemistry or Metallurgy.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience in working with a group or team.
- Have computers experience.
