We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Junior Legal Advisor intern to join our team through the Yes4Youth initiative. This program is designed to provide valuable work experience and skill development in the field of law. We are seeking candidates who have recently completed their LLB degree and have finished their articles.
As a Yes4Youth Junior Legal Advisor Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to various legal activities within our organisation.
Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities include;-
- Legal Research and Analysis:
- Conducting legal research on various topics relevant to the organization’s operations.
- Analyzing legislation, case law, and legal precedents to provide guidance to the team.
- Assisting in the preparation of legal opinions and memos.
- Contract Review and Drafting:
- Reviewing contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Assisting in the drafting and negotiation of contracts under the guidance of senior legal staff.
- Maintaining contract templates and assisting in contract management activities.
- Compliance and Regulatory Support:
- Assisting in ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Supporting the development and implementation of compliance programs.
- Assisting in responding to regulatory inquiries and audits.
- Legal Administration:
- Providing administrative support to the legal department, including document management and filing.
- Assisting in maintaining legal databases and records.
- Coordinating meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for legal staff.
Qualifications:
- LLB degree from a recognized institution.
- Completed articles with a law firm or legal department.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research databases.
Key Requirements:
- Completed LLB degree.
- Done with articles.
- EE candidates only
