A vacancy for a Graduate Civil Engineer has become available in the Johannesburg Office. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified.
The candidate will be part of the WATER CIVILS SBU and will be administratively reporting to the SBU Partner.
Description:
The position requires a suitably qualified Civil Engineer graduate, with no previous experience required, to work on a range of Civil and water engineering related projects.
Experience and Skills:
- The candidate must have a Civil Engineering Degree (B.Eng. or B.Tech.), with an interest in water engineering.
Interest / Experience in the following advantages:
- Possess good writing and communication skills,
- Be proficient at following software: MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, and
- Knowledge of / exposure to HecRas, Prokon, AutoCad / Civil Designer or any other design software will be beneficial.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The candidate will be involved in;-
- Design calculations under supervision,
- Engineering designs and modelling,
- Data preparation and manipulation,
- Site visits and field work as required on projects and travel within, and possibly outside of South Africa,
- Report writing,
- Some administrative tasks, ISO9001 compliance,
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects both nationally and overseas across borders,
- Ongoing attention to individual and team development and growth to remain at the forefront of technology will be a key requirement and success factor.
