We are currently looking for Interns in Cape Town, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Intern you will be required to identify and screen potential locations for floating solar PV (FPV) development. This includes screening countries for water-bodies and gathering data to facilitate assessment and ranking of potential opportunities.
Main Responsibilities
- Gather site specific data on each of these water bodies for evaluation
- Screen countries of interest and identify potential FPV sites
- Power Production: Capture any in country knowledge or information to facilitate assessments
- Rank locations for further development
- Evaluate, based on pre-defined criteria, the potential locations
- Solutions: Understand constructability requirements and information gathered on FPV
Qualifications and Competencies
- Education: Degree in progress in:
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: within renewable energy (particularly PV/FPV) is Advantageous
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Advantage: Has knowledge of Google Earth or similar GIS mapping programs
- Advantage: Has knowledge of PowerBI
- Good at using Powerpoint and writing reports
