Sappi Southern Africa requires an Intern for our Legal Department based at the Global Business Service Centre in Umhlanga. The internship will offer the candidate an opportunity to grow and obtain the necessary skills, competencies, and experience within the legal field. The successful candidate will be required to support the business with different tasks and responsibilities during their 12-month contract period.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to the SSA Group Legal Department;
- Assist Legal Counsel with legal research
- Assist Legal Counsel in the drafting and vetting of commercial and other types of contracts;
- Ad hoc legal duties as requested.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have:-
- Grade 12/Matric qualification;
- Bachelor of Law Degree or equivalent;
- PC literate – MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint);
- No experience is required.
Interest in the following is preferred:
- Commercial law;
- Environmental law;
- Property law;
- Litigation
