Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Intern
Job Type: Graduate Internship
Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

The internship will cover but not limited to the following areas:
- Perform risk evaluations
- Reinforce EHS Management as per ISO QMS
- Perform EHS inspections/site audits
- Manage the fire prevention equipment and maintaining the records
- Coordinating evacuation exercises to ensure that all employees become familiar with these procedures.
- Compiling, reviewing, updating, and implementing SHE procedures as and when necessary
- Controlling all personal protective equipment and investigating new PPE if ever there is a need.
- Conducting daily, weekly and monthly inspections of all areas to ensure implementation of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment management policies and practices Ensure that staff are informed of safety acts and other safety related issues at production daily meetings
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in;-
- Occupational Health and Safety
- Or any related qualification
- Candidate MUST have their own transport
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication
- Ability to plan and handle communication with all levels of staff
- Ability to pay attention to detail and keep accuracy levels
- Ability to work under pressure
- Planning and organising skills.
