The HRA will be responsible for executing all HR processes throughout the life cycle of the employee, ensuring sound advice and the seamless and consistent delivery of the departments’ services to line management and employees in line with company procedures and compliance standards. In addition, the HRA is responsible for providing overall HR support to the business areas as well as ensuring that HR policies and practices are implemented in line with best practice and company standards and induction.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with relevant departments in the full end-to-end cycle of onboarding & off-boarding
  • Regularly update and report back HR related information to HRM and relevant business areas
  • Compile correspondence and documentation around HR processes e.g. offer letters, employment contracts, transferral letters, visa documentation, relocation documentation and other conditions relating to other employment
  • Notify relevant stakeholders of relevant changes in line with employment changes
  • Assist audit documentation- company policy, standards and requirements (example, labour inspections, health and safety reporting, incident/injury on duty
  • Assist with monthly HR reports
  • Assist in the training and development, disciplinary and performance management process of employees
  • Keep track of the Probations, End of contracts (learnerships and fixed term)
  • Be the custodian of HR processes when interacting with operations and an advisor with regards to policies, processes and tools
  • Monitor compliance of HR practices in line with labour legislation
  • Assist HRM with meeting strategic goals
  • Update electronic and hard copy files to ensure that all information is appropriately documented
  • Be available and respond to daily queries in the areas of HR policy, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations and labour legislation
  • Assist with wellness day activities
  • Fully understand company policies and communicate accordingly with employees
  • Confidentiality and security of personal information
  • Assist internal, external and any regulatory body audits as well as other statutory queries
  • Be part of the organisation’s company function committee assisting in planning and roll out
  • Ensuring the HRIS is updated at all times before the end of the day

  • Qualification in Human Resources
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Labour Legislative Laws – BCEA, Skills
  • Development, Income Tax Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Compensation Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, including all relevant law pertaining to HR
  • Attention to detail
  • Not a clock-watcher
  • Business Acumen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Competence (Word, Excel)
